NCSE Evolution and Climate Education Update for 2018/06/29
(by NCSE Deputy Director Glenn Branch)
Dear friends of NCSE, NCSE's executive director Ann Reid talks climate education on the radio.
NCSE'S REID TALKS CLIMATE EDUCATION NCSE's executive director Ann Reid appeared on Your Call, a daily radio show on San Francisco's KALW, on June 25, 2018, to discuss climate change education. Among the points she made on the episode, "One Planet: What Are K-12 Students Learning About Climate Change," was that a majority of science teachers have said they need support in teaching the science of climate change, whether in the form of high-quality lessons or ways to navigate the challenges of teaching a topic that generates strong feelings and debate.
